I'm new to this forum and going to kick off the Paraguay section. I spent a couple of weeks in the San Rafael NP and have snapped about 55 species. Most have been identified but I'll post the ones I'm unsure about. Grateful for any help!
Thanks,
Alison

Taken in March 2010 at San Rafael NP. Similar to Mylon maimon but slightly different pattern and more brown in colour. Mylon pelopidas has been suggested.

Hola: I think this is a very light Dark Mylon, M. maimon. M. pelopidas would show some faint lines in the middle of the dorsal hindwing and more lines somewhat perpendicular to the veining on the forewing. Saludos Ricardo

Thanks Ricardo! I did suspect that it was just a pale variation since I saw a more standard looking one too.

Think I'm also still getting to grips with the general diversity within species - I've never had to study individuals so closely to identify them. British butterflies are much more simple to deal with!
