Can anyone name please name this Lycaenid found at Yarinacocha near Pucallpa, Peru, late May this year?

Welcome to the forum! Hairstreaks are tough, as you know. What elevation was this taken at? I might guess Electrostrymon, but that's a wild guess. Was it above 1000 meters?

Hi Kim,

The location is lowland, below 500m altitude. My own best guess is Electrostrymon sp., similar to E. joya; Ziegleria syllis has been suggested to me but in the references I have been able to consult that seems to lack the dark discal marks this butterfly shares with Electrostrymon. I have posted it in the hope that someone can help resolve this.
