this photo of a Syma was taken at Iguazu on 3rd Nov 2006 - I hope I have the genus correct but I would like confirmation of the species - Bob

I don't know what a Syma is, it's probably an old name. This is a Doxocopa linda, common name Linda Emperor. Notice the bright green tongue, a clue it's a Doxocopa. They can look like Sisters, or Adelphas, but those don't have the green tongue. Nice one!
